Fred Murrell - April 26, 2017

Fred "Black Snake" Douglas Murrell, Jr., 60, of 247 Webb Farm Rd., Trenton, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at his residence.

Fred was a 1975 graduate of Jones Senior High School and attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro. He served his country as a member of the United States Army and was employed as a skilled brick mason.

Fred will be forever cherished by: his mother, Mary Lee Murrell of Trenton; two brothers, William Lee Murrell (Debra) of Augusta, Georgia and Brian Keith Murrell (Suddona) of Trenton; two sisters, Brenda Joyce Haddock of Clayton and Gwendolyn Andrea Bryant (Ernell) of Monroe, North Carolina.

The family will receive their friends and guests at the residence of his mother on Iris Ln., Trenton.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West St., New Bern.

Homegoing service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Kings Chapel FWB Church, 127 Haiti St., Trenton, with the Rev. Dr. W. S. Nicholson, Pastor, Pastor Valencia Brown, Officiating and Rev. Ernell T. Bryant, Eulogist. Interment with military honors will follow the service in Haiti Cemetery.
