James Hodge - March 13, 2017

James "Little Boy" Hodge, 79, of 1003 Timberlake Trail, Jacksonville, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 13, 2017 at his residence.

He was a graduate of W. S. King High School and previously employed with: Conner Mobile Homes, A&P Grocery Store and Lowes Foods. He retired from the Marine Corp. Exchange Service Station, USMC Air Station Cherry Point.

James will be forever cherished by: three sons, James E. Gibbs of Leesburg, Virginia, Adrian A. Hodge of the home and Gerry W. Hodge of Raleigh; six Grandchildren; four Great-Grandchildren; one brother, Robert Lee Hodge (Stella) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; three sisters, Lillian H. Stanley of Beaufort, Henrietta H. Monroe and Ophelia H. Chambers (L. P.) both of Morehead City.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Williamsburg Parkway, Jacksonville.

Homegoing service will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2:30 PM in the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 208 N. 13th St., Morehead City, with the Rev. Lawrence B. Kelsey, Pastor, Officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Hodge Family Cemetery, Hodge Rd., the Craven Corner Community, Havelock.
