Janie Wooten - January 6, 2017

Janie Kinsey Wooten, of 106 Prynnwood Ct., Raleigh, formerly of 418 Catfish Lake Rd., the Black Swamp Community, Maysville, departed this life on Friday, January 6, 2017 at her residence.

She retired from the Jones County School System serving in capacities of a school secretary to Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent from 1965 - 1995.

She was an active, dedicated member of Myrtle Grove Christian Church for sixty years serving from President of the Choir to the Missionary Circle for the New Bern District Conference.

Janie will be forever cherished by: three sons, Victor M. Wooten (Angela) of Raleigh, Rev. Douglas A. Wooten (Yulande) of Zebulon and Earl Glendell Wooten of Los Angeles, California; two daughters, Delores W. Fogg and Vivian A. Wooten (David) both of Raleigh; nine Grandchildren; four Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Williamsburg Parkway, Jacksonville.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 12 Noon in the Myrtle Grove Christian Church, 5812 Hwy. 58 S., Maysville. Interment will follow the service in White Oak Cemetery.
